Thank you for reading my questions I got four ant queens from my garden I have a vague idea of what they could be.The first one is around 12mm I caught it in southern Minnesota along with the others and I caught them around the middle of may so this is the a video of my queen ants on YouTube search DraxusPro on YouTube go to my subscriptions and click on the ants of Minnesota the first is the 12mm than a 15mm than a 9mm you will no it’s mine cuz I have 1, 2 or 3 subscribers

Hi Draxus,

I've takin' a look in your youtube channel and there hasn't seen to be any evidence or photos showing your queen ants! :o so may you please include a picture or maybe record a video of it on youtube? thanks!

I don't think there's much chance of doing an ID with this video. I can tell that the big one is Camponotus novaeboracensis, but it's very hard to see the others. Did you catch any of these above-ground, after their flight? or were they dug up?

Alright! That is a little better. The 12mm queen is Formica. the 9mm queens are most likely Lasius. Go with pictures for future ID's, since even high-quality video has low image quality (1080p = 2 megapixels).
