Greetings, AC Family!

To celebrate the 2 yr anniversary of the AntsCanada Ant Forum, we are launching a contest in this week's video where we ask you guys to submit entries of flag designs for the ant colonies featured on our channel. Post them here in this thread and we will choose our top 3 favourites of each ant colony, run a vote in a future video, and if your flag gets picked by the AC Family, you will receive a FREE Omni Nest Small from our shop!

Good luck, and Happy 2 Yr Anniversary. ACAF! Also a huge thank you to our amazing Admin Mike for doing such a great job at running the forums these past 2 yrs. He is truly a Supermajor of our family!

How dare we celebrate when our heros, the jawbreakers, are dead? :(

Seriously though, I'll be entering my flag design soon.

Wow, I can't imagine losing a colony due to wild invaders, especially one of such beauty and difficulty raising. Let's have a grand moment of silence for the Jawbreakers  .........*sniffle*---*wipes tears away* we will avenge you!!!

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone's entries. I too will do my best to honor each colony with their own flag. Good luck AC family and "May the odds be ever in your favor" :D

Also, I think that, instead of violence, you should capture and keep the feral ants that killed your trap jaws. I just think
that this would be a cool video (maybe even for your 1 mil video).

The jawbreakers' untimely demise was because of a species that is heavily invasive throughout the world. I think you should eradicate that colony. I understand people keeping invasive ants, (as you do with your two oldest) but it isn't prudent to forget how the push out and out compete native species; leading to an unhealthy ecosystem. All I'm saying is don't release your colonies and be cautious with the feral, invasive ants around your apartment.

On another note, your contest intrigued me and I am thinking about designing a flag for your Carebara diversa.

That's my entry for the flag contest. I made it for the yellow crazy ant colony (it shows one of them killing a mite with a knife).
It was more of a concept than a masterpiece (it's not very neat).
I know, I can't draw.
