I've caught a big black ant on pavement near coffee shop 3 days ago. I researched out what it is and almost concluded it is a black carpenter ant. I am pretty sure it is a queen, but I would like to make sure from the experience ants keepers here that my conclusion is correct.
Ant size : little bit less than 1 inch but larger than 3/4 inch.

Images are not properly posted. I don't know why this is so complicated.
Anyway I tried may different ways but every attempt failed. Even worse, after few tries, my editing capability was restricted. I don't know what to make of it.
So I put my google drive foloer:

Re: Queen ID
This should have gone in the ID section. Camponotus pennsylvanicus.

Re: Queen ID
Thanks for the quick response and identification of scientific name.
This was my first post and I've seen many queen ID in the post. That's why I started here.
Soon I realized there is a forum solely dedicated to the ID.
My apologies.

Re: Queen ID
its definitely a queen because of its thorax, you can tell that this is true because of its size... queens (and males) need this size to store there wing muscles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXs9BLdgoBY&t=293s
