Queen Ant From Virginia
This queen was found in Goode, or if you don't know where that is, Lynchburg, Virginia, US. She was found today on March 28, 2017. I believe she is a Camponotus queen but I'm not sure. It rained quite a bit yesterday and it's been about 75 degrees Fahrenheit today. I found her under a loose peice of wood in the woods. I would like to know her species and if anyone can tell if she is pregnant from the size of her abdomen.

Hi, it is difficult to tell the fertility of your ant, but look for wing scars, bloated gasters or wait until her eggs hatch and if they are workers your set! If they are elate males she is infertile.
Hi I'm Jack, How are you?
