Lasius latipes, she is a parasitic species.

Re: What dose parasitic mean
It means she needs “host” worker ant to start a colony. That is a really cool queen though. Never seen any ants have legs like that, but I have seen a few bees.queenantkeeper wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 8:59 amHI thank you for telling me what species. But what dose parasitic mean.
You can introduce workers and brood for best results. I recommend finding a Lasius colony somewhere and getting 10-20 workers, then, introduce them one at a time to your queen. She should kill the first one or two(to gain nest scent), but then she should start accepting them. In the wild she goes and finds a decently sized colony and assassinates the queen

Dose it matter what speices
Hi dose it have to be a lasius species. Can I do another ant species?
Re: Dose it matter what speices
No, it must be either Lasius americanus, Lasius crypticus, Lasius interjectus (also a parasitic species) or Lasius neoniger.queenantkeeper wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 10:23 amHi dose it have to be a lasius species. Can I do another ant species?
