How High Do Ants Fly

Hello AC Fam,

I am new to ant keeping and also the forums. I was wondering how high are these nuptial flights so that I can keep an eye out for them. I don't believe I have ever seen Queen Ants Flying before, but I probably was not looking for them either.

It depend of the species. But you can be in a flight and don't see it, because the flying queens just look like any other flying insect. The best is to watch the ground, to see the queens before or after their flight.

Thanks Lebenet, I really appreciate that. I probably have never noticed it before. I will be paying more attention to the ground from now on.
