Hi I caught a queen ant on 23rd July............She is big ant...........now she have two workers and tons of broods...........but i couldn't identify her Sp. .............she is most common black ant in our country and i daily see thousands of them wandering........she is royal black with dark redish legs........these ants are minors and majors........they have one pillar between their thorax and abdomen...........the queen's abdomen is oval shape..........i confuse them between camponotus and lasuis because lasuis have comparatively smaller head while this queen have bigger head which show that they are camponotus but unlike other camponotus ants which live in wood, they live in soil...........please help in this case

BTW sorry for my english

Hey there!

Would it be possible for you to include a picture? I think there is only one species of Camponotus that is native to Pakistan, Camponotus sericeus but those have very distinct markings on their gasters, which you haven't mentioned, so I doubt it is that species.

Curiously there doesn't seem to be a huge variety of ants in your country, which actually works to your benefit as it should be easier to identify her that way. Check https://antwiki.org/wiki/Pakistan for the list.
Could she be Paratrechina longicornis?

Or maybe Tetramorium sulcinode ?
