How do you know that they are not mated?

From what Alexander said, the queens are solenopsis and solenopsis isn’t polygenus(many egg-laying queens in a colony).so those winged ants are alates

Solenopsis scares me in the fact a single queen can make a super colony. I mean 1 queen to 1,000,000 workers. That is a woman I do not want to be on the wrong side of. And if I am not mistaken they do not accept new queen's when their current dies. It is seriously interesting but again scary how a single queen makes them colonies.

But yeah if they are solenopsis and you do not have them for a week then you can attempt to return them. Btw how on earth are you holding solenopsis alates and are not being stung..... Now I am second guessing the species if I am honest. Solenopsis are aggressive by nature of I am not mistaken.
Research is important before during and even after you have established a colony. There is always time to learn and to listen to others experiences. Live by this and your ants will thrive. Fail to do so and your experience may be brief.

Never mind they are almost the spitting image of Solenopsis fugax. These as I literally just read are thief ants are will pray on other ant nests and steal their food.

Aggressive by nature, will not hesitate to use its stinger are not a multi queen species.

I know that they are infertil because solenopsis fugax are late flyers what i mean by that is they have their nupcial flyghts later in the year around mid September!
You cant place the queens back under the rock because the colony will not recognize them as their own anymore and will just kill them...
The queens are helpless, there is nothing you can do now...
