Founding lasius niger queen in test tube wont leave water cotton alone

Hey gues iv currently got 2 founding lasius niger queens in seperate test tube setups, both queens seem to be latched on to the cotton of which they should be drinking from.i was wondering if it has maybe dried up slightly and needs pushing up to get moist or is this normal please help as they have been doing it for a few days

Doesn’t move for days doing the same thing I am sure everything is fine, you should leave her alone for a week or so let her do her thing

Okay thankyou was just worrying thats all everytime i look she is latched on to the cotton asif shes struggling for a drink
