Hello, I am back. You should feed your queen sugary food so that she will boost her energy and lay more eggs.
I gave her some ant super food (liquid protein food for ants) but i dont think sugar is included. Will sugar really boost egg production?

Their death pile is in the liquid protein food lol. She only has like 5 workers now, i'm planning to attach an outworld for easy access.
Adult ants live primarily on Carbohydrates, larvae live primarily on protein. Queens only eat protein to produce eggs, the Carbohydrates will give her the energy necessary for founding.
Yeah, i know, just troubled with the quote :

Well sweet food often contains a form of Carbohydrates, simple sugars. The Carbs will give her more energy which can boost her founding, not sure if it will directly lead her to laying more eggs, but if egg production uses a lot of energy, then it will be of great use to her.
Keeping:

• Cataulacus granulatus x2
• Camponotus parius
• Odontomachus sp x4
• Pheidole prava x1
• Pseudoneoponera sp x1

Yes, but i dont think carbs will make that of a difference, maybe if she is weak probably. Also, not all sweet food contains carbs, some sweet substances such a sucralose dont provide carbs, but i dont think anyone would feed their ants that

I have given me carpenters some honey and protein liquid. They seem happy now. They have 5 eggs or so.

Hello.I have a Camponotus ocreatus queen. I'm a beginner antkeeper and things are happening that I have no clue how to deal with. I got her from a antkeeper near me and she arrived with 5 nanitics.
Everything was fine for about 3 weeks then 2 died a week a part.I put them in hibernation for 3 months. I took them out like 4 days ago. 1 day later 1 was dead. Next day another one i looked distressed. It can't hardly move and was staying away from others
Its still is alive but hardly moving. Now I notice the queen is just sitting the in entrance to test tube. The one remaining worker is with her with a larvae in its mouth and they just sit there. The test tube was looking a bit wet so I put a new one in. They won't move into it. Whats going on? I'm lost.

Don't use light for Camponotus, it only stresses them out. Try heating the new test tube. If that does not work after about a week, you might want to consider dumping them into the new test tube.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.

It might not look moist, but it is. Plus, Camponotus likes it fairly dry.
