I fed ants rum cake once. Ants just kind sat around afterwards. I also fed ants energy drinks. They went ultra aggressive mode.

So you made them drunk and very energetic. Nice. Btw does anyone know any websites where you can buy feeder insects. Because in my area the only places that sell feeder insects only sell mealworms and superworms, and I can tell you my ants are starting to get a bit tired of them. I know of a website that sells dubia roches as well as other handy and quality ant keeping products, Wakooshi you should check it out if you haven't. But their currently out of the roaches, so just let me know if you guys know a place that sells live feeder insects please, I'd like to get my ants a nice diverse diet.SolenopsisKeeper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 10:38 pmI fed ants rum cake once. Of course they can sleep, all organisms need rest. They just don't sleep like we do, we sleep for a few hours and stay awake for a few hours. They on the other hand take about 5 min naps every once in a while.Polyrhachiskeeper wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 9:34 pmThey can't sleep for weeks. LOL. They cant take power naps

I have a Camponotus maculatus subnudus colony (not sure if this is the correct species). I started from a queen to an ant colony. I caught this queen almost at the end of June. This is my 2nd time keeping Camponotus.

pls id these queens.
If these queens suceed, they will be my first colony sort of, i have a P. rastellata 'colony' but i dont really count that, because she has little brood and 1 worker, planing on letting her go.

Campos LOVE crickets. I dont know why, but the eat some fish flakes and they shove it in feeders to clog them. Small colonies for me are more desperate so they will eat fish food more
