Ant Queen Identification

I live in northern Utah, a few miles from the Great Salt Lake. I am not new to ant identification, though I must admit that the particular species of the ant I have found evades me. I know that the ant queen I have found belongs to the genus camponotus due to the size of the ant queen, dwarfing most other ants in my area, save for other carpenter ants. The problem is, this ant queen is unique to most ants in my area because it has a bright yellow abdomen, red legs, and a black head and thorax. It is about 25 mm in length (I think. I'm not great with the metric units.) Still, I'm pretty sure it's of the genus camponotus because it is of a similar size and shape to other carpenter ants I have kept in the past. Also, I have a question concerning the health of the ant queen. Upon capture, part of its abdomen was damaged, creating a dent. Will the ant survive? Also, I'm having an issue with attaching photos, so if you have any recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated.

From the description you gave us it is probably a camponotus queen. This should help you with posting pictures: https://forum.AntsCanada.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4631. Have a look at antmaps.org they can show you what species of camponotus live in your area. And yes the queen should survive.
