Normal sized queen I'd say, caught her during a nuptial flight last week. She has a reddish under belly.
I'm not very knowledgeable on ant species so I'd like some information about her.

Camponotus nearcticus is a species that had their nuptial flights lately and your queen does look like one. Have a look at images of Camponotus nearcticus queens online and you can decide if they look the same. This should help you if they are camponotus: https://youtu.be/UUCoajYwo8s.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

Thanks for the video recommendation. Turns out she is likely a Camponotus Samius, so yes the video will be helpful.AM1C39 wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 7:04 pmCamponotus nearcticus is a species that had their nuptial flights lately and your queen does look like one.
