Help me forget.

I need to forget my lasius queen and stop getting tempted to check up on her every ten minutes. Any suggestions to help me forget her for about like a month?

Do something outside, maybe do some queen ant hunting.

Put her somewhere you just cannot be bothered to walk to. Like a room far away from you or high up on a shelf where you would have to get a ladder out or something to check on her every time.

set up a streaming IR cam on her and place her in a dark quiet place.

Before i had a cam i checked every day. once i had a cam and could watch her from afar I would leave her alone for weeksm but also got to watch all the eggs develope and larve turn to ants

Only cost me £50 (raspberry pi and IP camara module) and it destracted me learning how to set it up.

If that doesn't interest you, then maybe read up some more info on antkeeping. Maybe buy the game Empire of the Undergrowth which is all about ants.

Maybe get a second colony or find a wild colony to support. ^^
