Tetramorium
Would a mini hearth ant formicarium be a good choice for a small Tetramorium colony?
Re: Tetramorium
Hi there,
I assume that you are referring to this product here https://tarheelants.com/products/mini-heart I like the idea of the all in one set up but I feel that the nesting area has a little too much depth for a small pavement ant species such as Tetramorium. They may feel like they are in too big of an area and feel unsafe. For a small colony I would recommend a founding nest which you can either create yourself or buy. The best should also be able to be linked to an Outworld area for them to forage. A good tutorial on this would be https://youtu.be/RtS9BO2PRLM
And they also include similar products in the video
But if you are keen on the all in one setups I would consider watching this video

The trick to all in ones for small species in the foundation stage is to have lots of chambers and nooks and crannies so they feel cozy and safe. The product you listed is more suited for mymercia which are larger ants and prefer and can withstand more depth.
Hope that helps!
But may I also ask roughy how many workers are in your colony or if it is difficult to estimate a photo to show the size of the colony?
