Can’t find the flight schedule for Pyramid Ants

Where and when are you finding queen ants? A section to share nuptial flight schedules by ant species and locality

Can’t find the flight schedule for Pyramid Ants

Hello I live in Texas and was looking to possibly start a colony of native Pyramid Ants because of their vulnerable status in my area and their unique ability to tackle garden pests and invasive species, and I can’t seem to find any info on when they fly. Would anyone here know? The specific ant is Dorymyrmex insanus I believe

It seams Dorymyrmex have their nuptial flights around August and October.

My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]

Thanks a bunch! I was having a lot of trouble since it seems like it’s a bit uncommon

I did some research and I think they fly sometime around March in the northern hemisphere. 2 people found their queens in March. When they stop flying I do not know
