best food for beginning lasius colony

fruit didnt work(just so nobody says fruit) i know honey works but anything else?
new to ant keeping

sprinkle sugar onto a small dish with a couple drops of water to dissolve

Small bugs are good.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)

Part of a mealworm or a piece of cricket works best as meat. Maybe a baby cockroach that has been cut up.
