hi everyone
i will post all the major events of my lasius niger colony here

today i have finally completed the preparations for my ants to exit hibernation
including choosing a main food sourse, studying on how to keep them, getting the ant tower ready
and i have read the ant keeping book from AC now just waiting for the first ants to appear outside.

foud out i still need a ant barrier maybe i will also make a poll for that

preparations are very close to complete both sugar source and ant barrier
will be complete on feb 10(thats when both polls end).

i dont know if ants can actually see red
but i dont want to risk it(risking that the ants make it so i cant see inside)
so i have decided that im going to buy a hybird nest for them
(the ant tower will be used as an expansion
or to house my next ant colony(do you also find it so annoying when people type
colonie instead of colony?)of camponotus sp or messor barbarus maybe even lasius flavus)
so i set a budget of 100 euro's and got to work finding a good and cheap outworld
(AC outworld are too expensive) if any of you know a good and cheap outworld post it here

i set the time for my ants to exit hibernation to be feb 25 i hope everything is done by then still need to do some things

so the exit plan first im going to dig them up
(i have them in a box underground with straws as air holes its is to get the most natural temperature)
them im going to put them in my storage(a above ground basement)where its warmer then underground
but still cold then im going to put them in my toilet where its a bit colder then in my house.

so now on to what i plan on feeding them carbohydrates will come from fruits and honey
protein will be fruit flies

now on to some change of plans because i could not find a good outworld( i could but it was too expensive
and i still wanted to buy some other stuff using that budget like games )
i decided to take it risk and hope ants cant see red
(so no new unboxing video on youtube channel: hey!!!! i keep ants)

now i cant just get more money because... well im 14 which means that...
i work at an library which... does not pay well... and i got to pay 5% of the bills and i also need to buy cat food
which means that i dont have much money left i saved up 100€ think thats all going to games now

wow i just made my longest post i dont know how antsLuxembourg does this al the time it took me about 32 mins to type this so maybe its because im typing on kindle(a e-reader)

changing the plans again im going to make an outworld so i dont need to buy it.
witch means that the ants are going to get an hybrid nest

everything is on schedule i have't bought the hybrid nest YET!!!! now on to some good news i have spotted a ant outside just one

Yay, good for you, that means some ants will be coming out of hibernation soon! Sadly where I live I have not seen any ants outside.
