Does anyone know what species this is? I found two queens in Laguna Beach California while hiking in the hills. Both queens have already lain a few eggs each at its only been two days.

Someone on Reddit believes it's Formica Sp., something in the Fusca species group.Anthobbyists wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 6:28 amI'd say a type of Camponotus. Not sure which type though.
Anyone else have an idea?
