I woke up this morning to a weird dark brown liquid trail on the inside of one of the tubes leading from my test tube with the colony to their outworld, can anyone tell me what this is?

Re: Brown liquid trail in my ant farm
Its more than likely ant waste. I captured a L. Humile queen, brood and a good deal of workers last summer which I eventually had to release due to the enormous amount of bodily waste they were producing.

Re: Brown liquid trail in my ant farm
That does seem pretty likely as they have also decided to use that location in the tube to store their garbage and dead. It just seems like a lot of waste for a small colony with just over 20 workers. The size of thew drop is larger than the workers themselves.

It could be a combination of condensation and ant waste/garbage as well.
