Test Tube Alternative

Due to the current deal with coronavirus many stores in my area are shut down and I am wondering for an alternative that I might find in my house. I have heard about water piks but as I said, stores are closed and people aren't supposed to be leaving their houses. Anything will help!

You can try ordering online, but if you still cant do that, you can try placing the queen inside a small container with a wet cotton ball inside. Just make sure to keep on watering the cotton and make sure it stays moist and also to not disturb the queen as much as possible. Good luck!

How do you give them water in that case?

do the same thing as a test tube setup. fill water halfway, block it off with cotton, then put the ants in and block off the entrance with more cotton. i don't recommend the plastic containers though, they can bend causing the water to seep and flood the ants.
