New ant keeper question - terrarium

Hi guys!

My husband and I caught a queen ant and had her in a test tube for months until she had about 7 workers. We wanted her to have more but her tube was getting mouldy and we struggled to move her. We placed the tube into the terrarium about 1 week ago and the colony moved in within 24 hours. Problem is, we haven’t seen them since!! We have placed fruit and sugar water down but no sightings so far. Is it possible they are still alive or more likely that they are dead :(

they are probably still alive. in the wild a young colony will block them selves in. Only foraging if they need food. Some species do This more than others. i'd like to know what species do you have?
2 x iridomyrmex sp Queen:15+ workers
2 x iridomyrmex pallidus: 40+ workers
1 x pheidole megacephala:2 queen 300 workers.
1 x opisthopsis Queen: 14 workers
