Pheidole Vigilian Queen ant

I got my first queen ant a Pheidole Vigilian about a week and a half ago but it still hasn't laid eggs. I have it slightly on a heating mat, gave it a small amount of food when i got it but nothing after also there is a small white cloth covering it, it has water in its test tube st up also. So if someone could please tell me why it hasn't laid eggs yet that would be greatly appreciated

I dont know anything about that species but it might be that you are over caring, its best in the founding stage just to let her be.
