Ant Identification from Denver CO Regieon
Just want to answer, YES, I live in two places, these ants were caught in Stapleton CO. I believe that the smaller ants in the test tube setup are Tetramorium immigrans. However, I don't know what the larger ones with the small outworld are. They currently have 4 workers, one queen, three eggs, and one larvae. When the nanitics were in pupa stage they were in a cocoon which leads me to believe that they may be some species of carpenter ant. These were caught last summer however I cannot remember the exact date. I believe I caught the unknown species sometime in july.
