Winged ant found, need identification plz

Hey been looking for an ant queen near my area for about 8 months, I had given up the search after my first fire ant queen died in the test tube after she laid her first eggs. Was searching around my area all through the summer and even some of Oct and Nov, and had basically given up. Today(02-01-2020, central texas), when I got home from work, I found this awesome winged black ant. I put it in a test tube setup and took some pics they are attached. Never seen an ant like this around my area since most ants over here are fire ants. Can someone please check if this is a Male or female, and maybe possibly confirm or deny its queenly status? Thanks.

Hey thanks, I'm at work right now, but I'll be sure to check out the YouTube tutorial on how to post pictures on the forums when I get home.
