These are the black crazy ants that found my old gel farm :o I took the gel out and put peat moss and sand, I left it on my ant desk in the back corner, the 6 harvester workers all passed  these ants have been around the desk forever it seems, I guess they saw all the others and said hey, free food, just move in here ;) I now sealed the opening, and add in outsiders trying to get back in.

Ant-keeping newbie! Currently keeping one Crematogaster Laeviscula Queen (Helena, with seven workers, and lots of increasing brood amounts!). :D

I used imgur.com, there is a tab once you put your pic there and it converts to bbcode, then just paste it and it will appear when you post it

Hawkeye, thank for that very detailed analysis,
Thank you, like I said, I put some thought into it. Always eager to help other ant keepers, especially since we can learn from each other.

This morning she is moving on her own, the workers dont seem as frantic around her as before, and I saw her take a few steps, whoo hoo! I really did not want to look in this morning as I feared the worst, but I am so happy now!
Happy to hear she's doing better. Sounds like she was indeed under the weather but is now on the mend. I would still urge you to feed some fruit to your colony to boost their immune system and general health.

On another note, while checking in on all my queens, (7 total) 1 of my pyramid queens has moved from the test tube into the AC mini tower I set up for them, and while trying to locate her amongst the tunnels I found a black crazy ant queen walking around on top of the mini, I now have 8 queens :D This maybe the queen of all the black crazy ants that have invaded my ant desk for the past month. I have as many ants outside my setups as in them combined
Sounds like you need a bigger ant room! :D
