Well, it’s been in the 80 F range for a while now, and the absolutely HUGE super colony of ants at my school show no sign of slowing down.

Hello!
How many ants does your colony have? Also since your school has a bigger colony that might affect productivity in winter because they have more workers to support the queen.

Larger colonies need to perform far more work to gather a big enough food reserve to get them through hibernation. That might explain their activities.TbugTheAntMan wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 9:10 amWell, it’s been in the 80 F range for a while now, and the absolutely HUGE super colony of ants at my school show no sign of slowing down.

Hmmmmmm... Lol I was going to say if you have fed your ants but... look at the title of this forum . Have you tried placing some heat around the tube? That might activate them. If you do just make sure that they don't overheat.

You can buy heating mats for example? They probably have them at your local pet shopTbugTheAntMan wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 9:12 amWell, I don’t have anything I can think of that will do that.
