Species identification
Hi guys. I live in Uzbekistan(Central Asia). I kept ants for 3 years and spent a lot of time in rural areas of my country: in search of various local species. The diversity of ants' species in my area is not reach, and most of species are easy to identify, but their is one that is like a like a ghaust for me. I have seen only one worker in my life; I caught it and took some pictures of it. It was huge, the size of the Messor's soldier, with light yellow body and abdomen. Here are a picture of it:

1x Lasius Niger - early forging stage - 60-100 workers
1x Messor Barbarus - founding stage - <20 workers
1x Camponotus Turkestanus - claustral stage - 1 nanitic + brood
1x Odontoponera Transversa - semi-claustral stage - no eggs

Re: Species identification
No it is not turkistanus. They are a little slim with all thier body being yellow, while this one is different has big abdomen. I tend to think that this one might by an unrecorded one. I went thought the database on Antbase, and found anything like that....
Re: Species identification
Anyways thank you) I really doubted that this one is Camponotus.
