Baby Powder/Alchohol Barrier?

Did a dry run of a few hundred wild tetramorium workers... the barrier worked fine for a week but i needed to reapply as some workers were managining to cross. After reapplying the mixture it seems it caused a significant die off. I am sure its mostly due to my ratio of powdee to alchohol also does the alchohol % matter for this?

Sorry I don't use Baby powder/rubbing alcohol combo, but I use PTFE and it works just fine ( I got mine from an ant online store). Hopes this helps

What online ant store did you buy your ptfe from? I have 16 queens in test tubes and need to start making formicarium. Not sure where to find ptfe aside from amazon which seems expensive
