Yesterday, about 10pm, My boyfriend and I found two queens in our apartment. One has her wings attached (not pictured) and the other does not (pictured) though I can tell that they are both the same species. The one pictured is about 31.07 mm long (a guesstimation) I live in Sharon Springs area NY, Usa. The one with wings tried to dig out through the cotton.
Edit: It wont let me add pictures...
2 Queens caught 6-1, Upstate NY, Usa.

Camponotus pennsylvanicus. Also, check your measurements as 31 mm is way too big for any ant in North America.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

Thank you! And I do apologize about the length, I didn't have a proper ruler.TheRealAntMan wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 9:29 pmCamponotus pennsylvanicus. Also, check your measurements as 31 mm is way too big for any ant in North America.
