Unidentified Species

Hi, as a new member of the community I would like to know this ant that I caught.

Not sure if it’s a queen. I think there are some ants that have gamergates, and this might be one of them.

I would like to know the species, if it’s a queen or gamergate and a link to successfully raise this ant into a colony would be great!

It was found in the north east of Mexico (just under TX.)

Hello welcome to the community. I can safely say that isn’t a queen however I’m not from America so I wouldn’t be able to tell you what Genus is, I would’ve said maybe a Camponotus but I couldn’t say for sure as the images were a little blurry. If you do find out the Species, and it does turn out to be a gamergate, there isn’t a lot on them currently as they can be difficult to raise, you first need to find a male for that worker to mate with.
