Ya alot of queens look an smell to be Lasius claviger, how ever i have 3 queens slightly smaller look like maybe lasius , 1 of the queens has adopted 4 winter ants they been tending to and feeding her

The queens head is big and her gaster is small but she could be a prenolepis imparis queen. I still can't believe that the workers are taking care of her.

I found a queen, I didn't pick her up because she is a lasius umbratus, but still nice to see it's queen weather again.

I spotted some Prenolepis male alates in a nest entrance
Keeper of:
Camponotus Pennsylvanicus,
Camponotus Nearcticus,

Camponotus nuptials have finally started here in KY. Found two over the weekend, one has already laid a couple eggs.
