I'll keep that in mind. I think a small piece of cooked chicken should do the job for protein until the colony gets bigger, I dont want to buy mealworms for a tiny colony cuz they'll go to waste
Or you can culture your mealworms so you won't have to buy them as often.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

UPDATE: My single larvae is now a pupae! Soon I'll have my first Nanitic  I took some photos, although because of the quality of my phone they're quite awful... I might as well add one of them, so that one will be attached here. Its my first time posting an image on here so I'm not sure if it'll work. I hope so... You should be able see the queen and her one big pupae. Image

More pictures this time, but I'll also post the links below the images just in case it doesn't show up... I moved the queen to another test tube due to some mold, hopefully it'll make her feel better. Any ideas as to why she's only made one pupae so far?

Be aware, for a lot of Tetramorium colonies are actually Pheidole! Both Pheidole and Tetramorium live in my area, but I've only caught Pheidole queens before.

Has your queen created a burrow in the new tube similar to her nest in the old tube?

Not that I can see, no. The pupae is beginning to turn to a light orange/yellow color so I assume she'll become a worker soon. Hopefully in doing so she prompts the queen to begin egg laying. I've also hypothesized she could be preparing for hibernation, as october is right around the corner.

The black Pheidole colony I once had was actually very picky about food.
