Lasius queens. Best to separate them soon as they will eventually fight to the death.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.

I just gave them each their very own test tube. Thank you so much for all your help. ^.^TheRealAntMan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 6:07 pmLasius queens. Best to separate them soon as they will eventually fight to the death.

So both of them were under a rock with workers and a bit of a colony.
Does that mean they need to be fed? Or left alone? Still. Learning

I am concerned that this is a claviger. Should I go collect some of the colony if I can?

Those are not claviger. They look like neoniger or pallitarsis to me.

If they had workers they probably have used up most or all of their food stores. So yes, you should feed them. If you can, go back to the colony and collect what workers you can, and brood as well.

I wouldn't know which nest belgonged to which queen. Wouldn't the wrong workers kill the queen?
