Prenolepis Imparis Merging Colonies
I've heard that prenolepis imparis can have multiple queens but I can't find any definitive answer. I have 3 queens one has no workers or brood, and the other two have around 20 workers each.Is it possible to merge them at this time period? The colony growth has been kinda slow and I feel having three queens would greatly boost the population. I've heard some times they do merge colonies and sometimes they don't. Is their specific things that must be done to merge? And if so how would I go about it? Tubs and Tubes?

It’s a 50/50 chance they will... they will either 1,kill each other...2, merge then later queens betray each other and one or more dies.... 3,they merge and live happily ever after!

Ouch, so its a gamble. I wonder if it would have been best to move them into a test tube at the beginning? I could try to separate two workers (from different colonies) and place them in an open space (I guess arena is a better term) and see if they fight? It would either prove they are friendly towards each other or hostile. And I can make my decision based on that. That's logical right? I'll post the results on here.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who's run into this situation! I hope your ants merge well! I'll be waiting for that update of yours!
