Found this queen (I think) while at work today. I did let her go but if i can figure out what she is I might go look for another one to keep. I live in western Wyoming, USA by the way. Thanks in advance!

Its a queen but we need mesurments for a proper id

The contrast of the photo made it difficult but it's very probable to being a Lasius Brevicornis (aka the american species of L. Flavus). Hope it helps!

Better to wait for workers for a proper Lasius ID.
An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
