AntsDakota wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 5:18 pmThey have 7 workers, 4 pupae, and a pretty good sized pile of other brood. It seems like when 1 worker hatches, a larva pupates, so there is a constant 4 pupae.
The pattern continues, as there are always 4 pupae.AntsDakota wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 6:34 pmThey have 5 workers, 4 pupae, a couple large larvae, a few small larvae, and about 10 or so eggs.

All workers escaped! They brought all brood with them, but the queen was too large to fit into the hole that led to the outworld!

They still have 5 workers, and they have 1 pupa, 2 large larvae, 1 huge larva that is going to be a major some day, and countless other brood.AntsDakota wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 2:30 pmI just welcomed worker #5!

How did you find yours? My dream colony is Camponotus Pennsylvanicus but I can never get my hands on one. I caught one while staying in a military camp in another state so I couldn't bring her home.
