Well it seems both Angelique's family and I like hot wings!!! They are munching away at the chicken and also doing their typical covering it with sand. LoLA

Well all is going well with Angelique's little family. They are slowly growing and she has turned into a egg laying machine! She now has some larger daughters (first born are always usually smaller) and they love their cricket's as protein. I made a short time lapse of the cricket i put in the out world today. It would have been longer but alas I forgot to plug my pad in and got a low battery warning. LoL There's always next time.

A short time lapse of Angelique and her small family. Large pile of eggs and larva at top and the pupa is on the bottom center. They move the eggs and larva to the top edge each day because that's the warmest area, at night they pile it all together.

Well I came home and looked into the hybrid nest and didn't see Angelique? Looked in the out world and there she was DEAD surrounded by her daughters.

So this ends this colony. Maybe I'll try introducing another queen..... We'll see. Pretty damn disappointed at this point.

RIP Angelique!

They accepted her and she is continuing off where Angelique left off. I am thinking about moving them out of the hybrid nest and making a mortar vertical one. They hang out near one entrance and about 2 workers hang out in the out world near the entrance tube leading to the nest. I have tried different heat zones, different humidity's and so forth. I think I might try giving them some depth to their nest instead,
