The Journal of 2 Queens

This journal is for my 2 fertile queen ants that i have named (their colonies to be). the first one i called is "The Carpenters" and the species for them is Camponotus pennsylvanicus. The second one is in honor of my friend, he can't have a ant queen and it is orange so i called them the "Orange Embers", idk the species.

The Carpenters - Lots of pupe, expecting workers soon.

Orange Embers - A few eggs, about 5-7... maby 8-10.

P.S. I found both on my drive way.

Just expect the pupae to take 3 or so weeks to develop.

Yes, I agree with a comment made above. The pupae stage will take upwards of 2 weeks so if you want to give the queen honey now, you probably could. Between you and her it's just a waiting game. I normally feed mine once caught and after the first pupae enclose.

I'm talking about Camponotus pennsylvanicius, and South Dakota isn't considered very warm compared to Singapore......
