She looks fine. She doesn't have a need to move around a lot, so why would she? she wants to save energy.

Thanks. That cotton ball is so tightly packed I was worried it wasn't letting any moisture in.

if you press the cotton toward the water, water should run/seap thru it, but watch out it is easy to flood the hole founding chamber

Looks like a formica to me but Im no ant expert so don't take my advice too seriously
