Hey guys. Here are my queens that i caught this year, I believe they are all Camponotus. They are massive, which i love.
There are only 3 here, the yellow tube is the only one that didnt lay eggs. The blue and orange did, about a month after capture.

Caught:5/20/18 and 5/24/18 morning/noonish
Location: Jackson, New Jersey
Length: Almost 2 centimeters!

Hey guys,
I figured i'd try again. I didnt want to disturb the other 2, and this one hasnt lain any eggs, so i took her out for a photo shoot and to get her a new, clean setup. These pics are the best ive ever taken! Hope i can get an answer as to what these are exactly. Thanks

Camponotus pennsylvanicus, assuming they are all solid black.

I made them out of bubble wands from wal-mart. The queens were large, so i needed large tubes.
Rinsed them a few times, then boiled them twice for a minute or so. I also cut the tops off, or else i would not have been able to get the water and cotton in.

This is the bubble wand tube compared to my "standard" 16x150mm tubes i use.
