I was pleased after coming home, from work to find out I had a fully developed worker ant, walking around the test tube. I was wondering do I have to start feeding them now? I put a piece of toliet paper saturated with grape juice, and I figured before proceeding with possiblt sangging crickets from the pet store, I should ask the fam for advice.

Small drop of honey at first. Wait on the protein until you have a few workers and they have accepted the honey.

I have killed many niantics with honey when the species produces very small workers we begin with by drowning. I'd use honey and water with the absolute smallest drop possible. Use the sharp end of a toothpick or something similar.

Hope it helps.

Solenopsis Richteri x 2
Lasius Neoniger x 2
Camponotus spp. x1
Wish List:

Monomorium pharaonis
