Top down and side views of a queen my son and I caught walking home from the park before a storm Saturday afternoon. She measures 10.5-11mm in length and seems calm. Believe this may be a Camponotus subbarbatus, but I am new to this and would appreciate confirmation. Have really been hoping to find a carpenter ant, so I'm very happy with this one, it's got to be some type of Camponotus. Thank you!
