I've gotten about 2 or 3 different replies 😅 can someone please tell me which is correct and why the others aren't?
Lasius sp. is a generalization which means "it is a species of Lasius, but it can't be determined which one".

Tetramorium is an ok guess given the time of year, but that genus is in the Myrmicinae subfamily and would have two waist segments. Lasius from Formicinae only has the one petiolar scale.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
