Good day, everyone! My name is Eric and I'm new to this forum, but I'm in no way new to the AntsCanada community. hehe I just wanted some help with identification. My friend's son found this at the beach yesterday. It's approximately half an inch long and kind of brownish or orangey in colour, depending on how you look at it. I'm actually not sure whether it's an ant or another insect. Anyway, here are a couple of photos I took today:

Thanking you all in advance!

Hello after looking at the picture I am almost certain that it is a Prenelapis Imparis queen however that is really odd because P. Imparis fly in April maybe she was just a late flyer it does happen

Oecophylla queen.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

Thanks for the ID, guys! Yes, upon checking photos on the internet, I can confirm that it's an Oecophylla smaragdina or Weaver ant. We have lots of them here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, it died. :(
