So I'm just starting my first ant colony and I was wondering how you prepare your food for your colony. Like do you just freeze the bugs to kill them and how do you take of parts of crickets and stuff to feed to your colony in its founding stages.

What ant colony do you have.? During the founding stages of your colony, its not recommended to give them bugs or body parts of feeder insects. You can start of with few drops of sugar water, honey drops or humming bird nectar.
