Queen Id Please
So, I caught this queen and she had a few workers and some brood with her. Caught her in the woods about the middle of this May 2017. She is roughly maybe a centimeter long, if not a little shorter. Seems mostly black with a slight tinge of a dark red. She was picked up near Panther Falls in a mountain range in Virginia, USA. She was found under a rock.

I would like to think Aphaenogaster sp., though I can't really see the colony close enough.

Thanks for embedding! I'm going to stick with my original statement. Are you able to get a clearer picture of them? Perhaps from the top?

Alright, Well I'm about to go run and pick up some things. I'm going to give her some time to relax because I'm sure she doesn't like pictures as much as we do but ill post some more picture of her in a few hours.
Re: Queen Id Please
Thank you sir. Anything special about raising them you know about?
Re: Queen Id Please
They're pretty much normal ants, although they will accept seeds.
