Moving queen

So the reason for this move is the water is running out. Will this work. I taped 2 tubes together leaving some space for ventilation.I covered the new one.

Will this work. Also how long do your monomorium queen take to move?

There is enough moisture in that tube to last her a while -- she may not move at all, with adequate humidity coming from the other tube. Regardless, she should be comfortable until her first workers.

Just make sure the gap isn't too large. One of my queens escaped that way.
