MOLD : WHAT DOES IT DO TO MY ANT COLONY AND HOW DO I PREVENT IT?
- So, I have recently heard quite a bit of chatter from other ant owners that certain foods such as fish food and fruit can mold very quickly and that this mold can cause problems and possibly kill some of my ants. I was wondering if anyone had any information, advice, or expieriences on the topic. -Thanks!

As far as preventing mold:
Make sure to clean up their garbage and keep their outworld ventilated. Stagnant, humid air will cause mold to grow. You can also get other bugs like springtails that eat mold and put them into the formicarium.
For the ants, there are definitely specific types of mold that will kill ants/"go after" them usually it has to get pretty bad before they can start to be effected.

Thanks for the speedy and professional response! Concerning what you mentioned about the spring tails, how do I import them? Also, is a little bit of mold going to hurt my ants or only a lot?
