I have the AC Hybrid nest All you need and I'm wondering what glue you should use when you glue the outworld portal to the outworld, can ants chew through elemers? Food grade silicone? Hot glue?

I've never seen it. Once the glue is dry on the portals it will have a flush fit to the outworld and they aren't going to spend time trying to get your portal out. If they are going to attempt to escape it will be out of the top of the outworld. I didn't bother to glue the glass down on my hybrid nest because the glass is already heavy for ants and I want to be able to clean the nests when they get too dirty.

careful with the elmers clear glue. i use this glue as well on the seems with glass, and smaller spp. will chew through it. at least my Monomorium sp. chewed through it. after they did that i just used water safe silicone .
